Women's Ministry

In the tapestry of a thriving church community, the inclusion of gender-specific ministries enriches the overall spiritual experience. At First Baptist Church Longview (FBC Longview), we firmly believe in fostering an environment where individuals can continuously grow in their "Passion for Jesus, Compassion for People, to bring about transformation for all." One significant aspect of this growth involves encouraging women to take intentional "Next Steps" through our dedicated women's ministries. Join us on this journey as we explore the profound importance of women's ministry at FBC Longview.

Small Group Gatherings

Connect 4

Connect 4 is more than just a connection; it's an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with a select group of women who will inspire, support, and pray for each other. This six-month commitment involves meeting for an hour and a half at various locations such as coffee shops, restaurants, parks, or even the church building. Participants gather once a month to engage in discussions around five thought-provoking questions, creating a space for genuine connection, laughter, and shared experiences. This exclusive time is dedicated to fostering accountability and camaraderie among women, providing a break from daily routines without the presence of kids or spouses. Join Connect 4 and experience the joy of building lasting connections across generations.

Hospitality / inreach

Meal train

Extend a helping hand and share the love within our church family through our Meal Train Ministry. When members of our community are navigating challenging times such as post-surgery, the birth of a child, or the loss of a loved one, this ministry steps in to provide comforting meals for their families during the recovery period. It's a tangible way for us to show support and care for one another in times of need. If you're eager to be part of this compassionate ministry and lend a hand to those in our church who could use some extra support, simply email Janie at J_Jsoren@yahoo.com to get on the list of caring individuals ready to make a difference. Join us in creating a network of kindness that nourishes both the body and the soul.

Disciple Group

Picture this: from our youngest members to our seasoned adults, everyone engaging in the study of God's word together, at the same time and in the same Bible passage. What if preschoolers, teenagers, and senior adults were all part of a unified journey through the scriptures? Disciple Groups make this possible! Led by Lisa Williams, our Women's Disciple Group on Sunday mornings at 9 AM is a space where diverse generations harmoniously explore the depths of the Bible. Discover what your fellow members are exploring, create connections, and grow in faith together. Join us on this unified journey that not only grow in your passion for Jesus but also cultivate a compassion for others. By coming together, we enhance our spiritual understanding while building lasting connections. Fun fact about Lisa: she loves traveling with her husband and gardening.
